Class V Maths

8. The average weight of 5 students is 52kg. What is the total weight of 5 students?

10. Convert ....4hrs 42min into min.
11. Convert....2144min into hrs and min.
12. Convert.....123days into months and days.
13. Divide.....9415.7÷0.15
14. Subtract the sum of 39.15 and 46.373 from 95.68.
15. Find the area of a square.....(a) side=27.3cm

I.  Solve these word problems: (Any 8 questions). [ 40 marks ]

1) An ice-cream brick measuring 50cm x 30cm x 20cm is cut into cubical pieces measuring 20cm x 15cm x 10cm. How many pieces of ice-cream will be cut from the brick?

2) The length of the water tank is 24m and its breadth is 10m. By the help of a tube, well 960cum water was filled in it. What was the deepness of the water in a thin tank?

3) If a bucket can hold 30.5 liters of water, how much liters of can such 8 buckets can hold?

4) The numbers of students in five sections of class V in a school are 40, 47, 48, 42 and 44. Find the average number of students in each section?

 5) One dozen pen costs Rs.223.80. Neha bought one pen. How much did she spend?

6) Two men work in a factory. One gets Rs.6098.25 and other gets Rs.5556.75 as their salary. What is the difference in their salary?

7) A box is a 10cm long, 6cm broad and 3cm high. How many such lunch boxes can be packed in a cartoon of length 2m, breadth 1m and height 50m?

8) The daily temperature (in Celsius) of Meerut and Ghaziabad recorded for a week in the month of April are given below. Which town was cooler during the week?

(b) Two sides are parallel and the other two sides are not parallel. Name this quadrilateral.

8. Construct a line Segment Of 6.5cm. Divide It Into Two Equal Parts With The Help Of A Compass.

9. Find the breadth of a rectangle.........length=50m,     perimeter =220m.

10.  Study the given figure and answer the following questions.

SECTION B (40 Marks)

Solve these word problems: (Attempt  any 8 questions): 8 x 5 = 40]

1) The sum of the angles of a triangle is 180° and the angles are in the ratio 5: 6: 7. Find the measure of each angle.

2) A super fast train covers 360km in 3hours 20minutes. How much time will it take to cover a distance of 90km?

3) 5 persons complete 8 jobs in 3 days. How many days will 20 persons take to finish that same job?

4) If 10 are subtracted from four times a number, the difference is equal to 32. Find the number.

5) One-fourth of a number is decreased by 4, the difference will be 8. Find the number.

6) Two sides of a triangle are 35cm and 60cm. Find its third side if the perimeter of the triangle is 150cm.

7) Find the cost of fencing a rectangular park of length 400m and breadth 300m at the rate of Rs.18 per meter.

8) A blackboard is 17m 7cm long and 11m 5cm broad. What will be the cost of painting it at the rate of 35paise per square meter?

9) The area of a rectangular hall is 165sq.m. If its length is 4m more than its breadth and its perimeter is 52m. What is the length and breadth of the hall?

10) The length of a rectangular field is 60m and the breadth is 2/3th of its length. Find the area of the field.
